Lighthouse Missions didn't start as an organization. It started with a question: what would it really look like to go into all the world?

How a Sunday Morning Became a Global Movement

THE CALL · 2014
A couple in Hyannis, Massachusetts felt something they couldn't shake. Not guilt. Not pressure. A calling. Faith, they believed, wasn't meant to stay within four walls... it was meant to move.

THE FIRST STEP · 2015
Lighthouse Missions was founded. Four children in Mozambique received their first month of support. A small team said yes. And something that couldn't be stopped had begun.

THE MOVEMENT · TODAY
15 missionaries. 10 countries. Over 1,000 children with food, education, and the love of Christ. And a growing community of partners across America — ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Different Countries. The Same Conviction.
Every photograph here represents a place where the same decision was made to show up, stay, and serve. These are the projects your support makes possible.

Love
Not a feeling a decision. We show up consistently, practically, for the people the world has overlooked. Love is the engine behind everything we do.
Three Words.
One Mission.

Serve
We don't arrive with answers. We arrive with open hands ready to meet real needs, build real trust, and walk alongside communities for the long haul.
— Our Values —

Reconcile
The Gospel restores what is broken: relationships, dignity, hope. That's the work we're called to. And the work our missionaries carry into the field every day.
Before the structure,
there was a couple
and a calling.
Lighthouse Missions was born from the response of a couple who understood that a simple "yes" to God can transform lives and spark something far greater than imagined. Driven by deep conviction and an unwavering calling, Elias and Ruth took the first steps of a mission that now reaches people across the globe.
The early years were built upon the same foundation that sustains Lighthouse to this day: trust. It was a trust earned day by day through faithfulness in the mission field, genuine relationships, and an unwavering commitment to God’s purpose. As this trust grew, so did the mission—training new missionaries, strengthening partnerships, and establishing a presence in ten countries.
In 2026, Edison and Silvana made one of the most significant decisions in the organization's history: entrusting the legacy of Lighthouse Missions to a new generation of leaders. This was not because the mission had come to an end, but because they understood that true leadership is measured not only by what one builds, but by the ability to prepare those who will carry the work forward. Thus, they handed over a solid, vibrant, and ever-growing organization to leaders equally passionate about bringing the love of Christ to the nations, ensuring that this story continues to be written for generations to come.

Leadership
Rafael & Josiane
Rafael and Josiane recently took up the mantle of Lighthouse Missions with a firm conviction: the Church in the Americas has everything it needs to change the world; it just needs a bridge.
What began as a personal act of obedience has grown into an organization that now supports 15 missionaries in 10 countries.
Their leadership is marked by transparency, faithfulness, and an unshakable belief that ordinary people can do extraordinary things.

We believe that every Christian has a calling that extends beyond their own backyard. Not everyone boards a plane, but we can all go through our prayers, our generosity, and our faithfulness.
That is why Lighthouse Missions was founded.
Rafael — Co-leader of Lighthouse Missions
